Versailles

Classified as of 30 years ago as a World Heritage Site, the Château de Versailles constitutes one of the best artistic productions from 17th century France. The old hunting pavilion of Louis XIII was transformed and enlarged by his son Louis XIV who made it the home of the French government in 1682. Up until the French Revolution, the kings succeeded each other, each bringing their own personal touch to the Château.
